New get-paid-to-autosurf now running. I've only invested the minimum $2, but the first payout was right on time. I put in $2 and 10 days later got $2.68 back. It's an autosurf, so you can log in, start the surf and let it run. After 10 sites, you get credited for the day;after 20, it says you've surfed the daily maximum. It's still new enough to run for a while, but don't invest any more than you can afford to lose; recoup your capital and play with your profits. I'm still running a bunch of PTR and PTC sites. I've had a few small payouts, but my big ones aren't due until early January. I've requested payout but they have a 60 business day delay for free members. A few of the big money PTR sites are offering a netbook computer if you upgrade for around $200. If all you get is the netbook (and it's in good condition) the upgrade is worth the price. Upgrades also in most cases increase the amount they pay per ad and decrease the payout threshhold. Some even include instant payout with no waiting period. Some Petty (or not so petty) Cash Sites

I've been playing with some Pay-To-Click (PTC) sites lately. There are 4 that pay a dollar or more per ad clicked, but I haven't reached payout yet, so I don't know if I'll collect. I'm close on one--Meggabuxx, but the others are going to take a while.

I've collected regularly on a couple of penny sites:
Clixsense http://www.clixsense.com/?2092135 has paid me over $100 over 3 yrs. I've kept a premium account there for $10 a year, and each year have gotten a few hundred more premium ads than I needed to pay for the upgrade. They only pay by check and charge a $3 service fee, so I only cash out once a year.

Neobux http://www.neobux.com/?r=brianshonye has paid me 4 times and I'm almost to another payout. The catch is that each time you cashout, the cashout threshhold goes up. The first payout was $2, the second $3, the third $4, fourth $5, and now I'm working on $6.
Neobux pays directly into your Paypal or Alertpay account with only a few cents of transaction fees. The last payout was no fee.

I also opened an account at Net Penny Stocks http://www.netpennystocks.com/53569-crankyyankee-2. I put in $6 and I've already gotten $4.10 back out of $6.65 earnings, so I just added another $3.75.

Some of the survey sites I participate in allow me to convert my points to cash or gift cards, but my demographic is not high priority so there are a lot of surveys I don't qualify to complete. Details on the cashout sites on request.

Update on Gomez

I had it running on 2 computers and was getting above the $5 payout about every other month. I loaded it on my husband's computer, which is almost always on, and started getting paid every month. Recently, his computer crashed, and when I got it running again, I'd lost a file I needed to run the DSL off his wireless connection. I ran a spare ethernet cable across the room to his computer, and plugged the USB wireless into an old win98 machine in another room. Now I'm getting a little over $9 from Gomez every month. It took a while to start earning, but it was worth the wait. Their website was promising to upgrade new applicants to active within a few months, so this would be a good time to check it out.

Clixsense Update--second year.

There's a new feature now, allowing you to upgrade out of your account balance. I extended my upgrade for another year, and expected the balance (minus $3) in a check. When I changed my default for payment from $50 to $20 to cash out, I forgot to hit the "Save" button, so my check will be coming the end of August. In the meantime the check is getting bigger. When I upgraded, I had earned $16.77 in premium ads from the previous year's $10 upgrade. With another $10 upgrade paid in, I now only need another 304 premium ads to be ahead of the game for the 2 years combined. Unlike some other PTC's this one does not pay anything against your referral's clicks, but it's a solid long-term program that is not likely to suddenly fold up, taking your earnings with it.

My year ran out on 7/24. I got a check for $ 32.24 on 8/7. Added to my first check, that gives me $39.85. If I'd only taken one check, that would be $3 more. I upgraded right away and I'm keeping an account running to see how long it takes to accumulate $10 in premium only ads.

There is now a setting on the details tab for your minimum payout. Instead of having to cash out any month that your total is $10 or more, you can set it for $20, $50, $100, $250, or $500. With referrals your total can rise rapidly, but if you are clicking alone and want to save on the $3 fee for each check, set your payout high enough that you get one check a year. If you upgrade for $10 for the year and cash out at the end, you should at least triple your money. And if you check it more than once a day and check everything you have ANY interest in on your profile, even without referrals you should do well. I upgraded on July 24, 2007 and have earned $22.12 so far without any referrals. I got charged the $3 service fee on the check I got in September, but now I'm going to see how much I can accumulate by the end of July before I cash out again.

A Very Pleasant Surprise

I logged into my Paypal account to cancel a subscription so I could use this month's limited funds for a new program. When I logged in, I found out I had money in the account! A long time ago, I signed up as a Gomez Peer. It took a while to get off "provisional" and onto the regular paid status, but I've just been letting their little program run in the background. It doesn't take up a lot of space or slow things down (as far as I can tell) and I now have $5.97 that I didn't expect. They will pay me for referrals, so if you'd like an occasional infusion of petty cash, sign up here. I doesn't pay a lot, but all you have to do is load up their program and let it run.

I got paid

At the end of August I had $10.17 in my Clixsense account. They charge $3 to process a check and that's the only way they pay, but they are fast. My check for $7.17 arrived in the mail yesterday. Anytime you break $10 in a month they automatically send the check, so my recommendation is (unless you really need that $7+): If you're getting close to $10 at the end of the month, hold back until the next month to cross the line. Then grab all you can the next month to make your check as big as you can after that $3 fee. Join Clixsense

Another good program is My Power Mall. It doesn't cost anything to join and pays rebates on anything you buy--and most of it you'd be buying anyway. The real income starts adding up when you give it away and collect commissions on what those people spend--and what the people they give it to spend down to 9 levels. Clixsense.com is a fairly new PTC site that's worth signing up for. My recommendation: Go for the $10 upgrade. It's good for a year and opens up hundreds of ads that free members never see. As a free member, I was getting only a few cents a day. As a premium member, I first worked my way through over 500 ads, and now get 10-20 a day. I upgraded on July 24th, and as of August 18, I'm only $.79 short of being able to cash out my initial $10. And I've got the rest of the year to accumulate another $10 or more to cash out again--all for a few minutes a day of clicking on ads. Three Success Tips

I bet you've often heard that what you're giving will come back to you many times over. It's true.
If you want more money, give money to those who need them more. You want to have lots of friends, be a trusted friend to everyone you meet. It's a simple rule.
But the most important thing is not to expect anything in return. Don't give a gift to your boss with the expectation that he will give you a promotion. Give because you want to and because it makes you happy, not because you have a hidden agenda in mind.

3) Receive Gratefully.
If someone says, "You're a genius for coming up with this idea," what is your response? Many people would say something like, "No, I'm not that good."
If your response is similar to the above everytime someone praises you, then you're blocking positive energy from entering your life. Instead, just say, "Thank you."
I know someone who has such a big pride that he never accepts any gift or help from others. I tried to give him something many times, but he refused to accept every single one of them.
Guess what his status in life now? He's lonely, friendless, and poor.
It's not bad to receive. In fact, it's a blessing that you deserve to have. And by being grateful and appreciative to the one who has given something to you, you are attracting more blessings and abundance into your life.

This is the autoresponder I use. They have spent time in and around their industry or market and they've been able to see where they can cut costs.

If you are prepared to spend a LOT of time researching before starting your business you may be one of the few who does it right the first time. For most people though, expect to pay something towards your online business education before seeing results - you just can't buy experience.

Online business obviously has its share of work involved, but finding the right one has enormous payoffs many people are willing to sacrifice time and money to achieve. Running your own business is satisfying and can give you more time to do what you really want to do in life.

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own

investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running

another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you

and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an

SCHEDULE YOURSELF FOR SUCCESS

A lot of people dream of owning their own home-based business. They dream of setting their own hours, working when they want to work and with whom. The reality is that very few of these people ever take the time to ensure that they have the right skill set - the right tools - to make the leap to a home-based enterprise.

The first major pitfall that most new home-based business owners face is a lack of scheduling discipline. They just don't plan out their work days. This can cause problems in two ways, under-working and overworking.

Let's look at the first one, "under-working." It's very easy to sit at home, on the ol' PC surfing the web. You might intend on working on your new website or putting up auctions on eBay, but, before you know it, you've spent the entire day reading email and surfing for the latest news and gossip. Sure, you were online and you were doing something, but the things you were doing are not the things that will put a dime in your bank account.

Overworking is pretty easy to understand. Some people simply don't know how to keep business hours. When they work from home, the temptation is there to "work 'til you drop." That's not good, especially if you are building your home-based business on the side and still work a day job. If you spend all your time working, you'll soon feel that you're never getting any "down time," and burnout is sure to follow. Believe me, I know all about this one.

Here's the solution. You must be very disciplined in planning your day. Write down what you need to accomplish every day and how long you will work on each item. Be sure to include downtime in your plan - time for your family, relaxation, exercise, whatever. This is important. after all, you're building a home-based business to build a lifestyle, not to become the richest person in the cemetery!

Your daily plans and goals need to be very specific. It won't do you any good to write something like, "work on project x." What does that mean? How exactly do you "work on something?" Your plan needs to include a definite finishing point, such as "write a new article on dog grooming for page one of the website." See the difference? You can "work on" a project for years and never reach a point where you've had any success. By contrast, when you "write an article on x," you know you're done as soon as you've typed the final period.

If you're in a marketing business, try to farm out as much of the non-marketing related work as you can afford to do. For example, if you sell products or services, it might be beneficial for you to hire someone to help build and maintain your website. The money you'll spend to have someone else do it will be more than offset by the amount of time it will free up. Other areas you can outsource might be bookkeeping, mailing, etc.

Be realistic when planning your day. If you're still working your day job, schedule that from the time you get up in the morning until you get home from work. Don't forget to include commute time. Then, plan out your evening accordingly. Don't schedule a four hour task to be completed in one hour. It won't happen. If you have huge tasks, break them up as much as possible and schedule your time accurately. This will allow you to have a feeling of accomplishment and you'll get a lot more done in the long run.

Don't multi-task. I know that this is the latest "buzzword," but, in reality, multi-taking is one of the leading killers of productivity for most people. Schedule only one project at a time. You can work on more than one project during the day, but you shouldn't work on more than one project at a time. It's very difficult, if not totally impossible, to serve two masters at the same time. Give one project your undivided attention. Once you've completed that task, move on to another task on that project or to another project.

You should also be a little flexible in your scheduling. In any business, there are bound to be interruptions that you couldn't possibly have planned for. In home-based businesses, the chance of distraction goes up exponentially. You'll be working on that hot new project, only to have the toilet overflow or a neighbor ring the doorbell. Plan on it. There will be things that happen that you can't plan for. That's why your schedule needs to include a little cushion.

What I like to do is plan out the items I want to get done and overestimate the time it will take to do them, by say 10%. Then, I have other items which are "on deck." These items aren't quite on today's schedule, but I want to do them soon. If I complete all of my scheduled tasks for the day, I simply look to see what's on deck and start on one of them. It's a bonus.

Sometimes, no matter how well you plan, you just won't finish what you schedule. It happens to everyone. That's when you simply revise your schedule for the next day to include the missed item(s). Don't get hung up on the fact that an item or two didn't get done as planned. Just take it in stride and keep on moving forward. Now, if you find yourself routinely missing your deadlines, you'll need to reevaluate your scheduling. Are you being realistic in your time allotments? Probably not. Adjust accordingly.

Here are just a few tips to help you maintain sanity and get your work done. With a little planning and a little effort, you can balance your home life with your home-based business and literally schedule your way to success.
